SUMMARY

PROLOGUE

In ancient times, the king and the good queen lived. They had innumerable riches, only they did not have a daughter. Therefore, the queen was often sad. And with her the king was sad, the courtiers were sad, even the birds did not sing their joyful songs.

Winter came, and everything around was covered with snow.

The queen sat sad in her chambers and embroidered. Suddenly a sharp needle pierced her delicate finger. Three drops of blood fell on the snow-white canvas. The queen looked at them and dreamed: “How happy I would be if I had a daughter with lips red as blood and a face white as snow.”

A good sorceress overheard this, and soon a beautiful girl was born to the queen. Everyone was very happy, but the king most of all, who called the princess Snow White. Alas the joy and happiness were short-lived. The queen became seriously ill. Once she called the king to her and told him: “I feel that I have only a short time to live. Therefore, my last wish is for you to get married a second time and give little Snow White a second mother who loved her as I did. ”

A few days later the queen died. Grief and sorrow reigned at the royal palace. The king cried along with the courtiers, but it was little Snow White who longed for her mother the most.

Several years had passed. Snow White had turned into a charming beauty. Everyone loved her - and not only for beauty, but also for her sensitive, kind heart.

The king cried for a long time, remembering the queen, but did not forget her last wish. He wanted the new mother of Snow White to be beautiful and kind too. And the new queen was beautiful, only her character turned out to be evil. And the new owner of the palace was very enviable and therefore hated the beautiful Snow White for her beauty and kind heart.

The king did not know that his new wife owned a magic mirror with which she could conjure. In the darkest room the queen hid the magic mirror. In this room lived abominable bats, black crows, and gloomy owls. The queen often came here, stood in front of the mirror and, looking at her reflection, asked:

“Magic mirror on the wall,
who is the fairest one of all?”
Then the mirror quietly said:
“My Queen, you
are the fairest here so true
But your stepdaughter Snow White
is a thousand times
more beautiful than you.”

The evil queen was furious and hated Snow White even more.

Years passed. The king became very old and weak, and the evil queen became the sovereign mistress of the kingdom. She punished people unjustly and was totally disparaging of even the king. Only now did the king realize that he had married a ruthless and evil woman. His heart was breaking with grief, and one night he died. Snow White was left completely alone. And the evil stepmother took her golden crown, which was left to the girl by her mother, and forced Snow White to do difficult labor. But the girl did not complain about her fate. She knew that she had many true friends: birds in the garden and animals in the surrounding forest.

Act 1

One morning, Snow White was cleaning the courtyard of the palace. Butterflies and insects helped her in this. But the evil queen was unhappy with Snow White’s work. The girl cried quietly, and her loyal friends tried to console and entertain Snow White with cheerful dances. Even the flowers danced in the garden.

Suddenly, the sound of a horn was heard, and a young prince appeared at the palace. The young man was struck by the beauty of Snow White, and he fell in love with her. Happy Snow White gave him the best rose from the garden. The queen saw this and turned green with envy.

Enraged, she called the court huntsman and ordered him to lead Snow White into the forest and kill her. The poor huntsman was depressed. He loved the little princess. And now he had to fulfill the order of the cruel queen.

The Queen, confident that now she had become the most beautiful in the world, began to dance joyfully. Black crows, abominable bats, and owls danced with her. The Queen ran to the mirror and saw in it how the huntsman drew a knife over Snow White. The joyful queen asked the mirror:

“Magic mirror on the wall,
who is the fairest one of all?”

But in response she heard:

"Oh, Queen, thou art fairest of all I see,
But over the hills, where the seven dwarfs dwell.
Snow-white is still alive and well,
And none is so fair as she."

The queen was surprised, because she was sure that Snow White was dead. Uttering various spells, she turned into an ugly old woman, prepared a poisoned apple and, surrounded by her abominable helpers, flew out of the palace in search of Snow White.

Act 2

The princess ran for a long time through the dark forest, until she fell under a large tree.

She was surrounded by various animals: bunnies, hedgehogs, little bears, and squirrels who were looking at the girl with interest. Only after a while did they recognize their beloved Snow White, so weary and miserable.

Snow White, along with the little animals, came to a clearing where a small cabin stood. There was only one room in it, in which there were seven small beds, a small table, and around it seven overturned chairs. Disorder reigned in the house. Snow White, along with her friends, began to clean the room.

The tired girl laid down to rest and fell asleep. She dreamed that she once again lived with her parents in the royal palace. It was then that the dwarves returned to their cabin. They were very surprised when they saw the girl.

The arrival of the dwarves woke Snow White up. She looked with interest at the little men. Then she smiled softly, politely greeted them, and told them her sad story.

The dwarves liked the girl. And they invited her to live with them. This is how the dwarves met Snow White.

“- I am Doc, because I am the eldest and I know everything...
- I am Dopey, because every time I lose something and forget...
- I am Bashful, because I am always shy...
- I am Sneezy, because I always sneeze...
- I am Sleepy, because I very much like to sleep...
- I am Happy, because I know many funny stories...”

Only one dwarf sat quietly in the corner. It was Grumpy. When he approached Snow White, he greeted her impolitely. But he got so much pushback from the other dwarves, that he went up to Snow White again and said:

“- I am Grumpy. Nice to meet you.”

Act 3

In the morning, the hardworking Snow White prepared breakfast and told the dwarves to wash themselves.

After breakfast, they went to work, and Snow White was ordered to lock the door and not let anyone in.

Snow White was left alone and began to clean. She did not know that an old woman was hiding behind a tree - the disguised queen. She searched everywhere for Snow White. And when the dwarves went to work, she knocked on the door. Snow White, seeing a weary old woman, forgot the advice of the dwarves, opened the door and offered the woman a little rest. The queen, her voice changed, said: “You have a golden heart, so I want to gift you a magic apple. Those who try it will have all their wishes fulfilled. ” And the queen treated the girl to a poisoned apple.

Snow White thought: "I would like to once again meet the prince, to whom I gave the most beautiful rose from the garden." She bit off a piece of the apple and then fell to the ground dead.

All of this was observed by the animals and birds.

They rushed to the dwarves for help. But it was too late. With bitter tears, the dwarves put Snow White in a crystal coffin.

But outside the cabin there was a noise. The young prince came with his retinue. Seeing the dead princess, he really missed her, because he loved Snow White and wanted to marry her.

The prince bowed over the girl and kissed her. And a miracle happened - Snow White came to life.

The prince took the girl in his arms and, together with the dwarves and his retinue, headed for the palace.

Meanwhile, the evil queen returned home and began to celebrate and feast. Then she ordered her servants to bring her magic mirror and, being sure that Snow White was dead, asked it:

“Magic mirror on the wall,
who is the fairest one of all?”

The mirror quietly said:

“My Queen, you
are the fairest here so true
But your stepdaughter Snow White
is a thousand times
more beautiful than you.”

Fanfares sounded at the palace, and Snow White and the prince, surrounded by their friends, entered the hall. The prince ran to the mirror and broke it into tiny pieces. From that moment on, the evil queen lost her witchcraft power. She began to apologize to Snow White. The good girl forgave her, but ordered her to leave the palace.

All the inhabitants of the kingdom were glad that they would have such a kind and gentle queen.
